dude who cares? Lookout has been a crap run since before you were driving I'm sure. Everyone knows to stay away from that S**t on weekends and that there are better roads the farther away you get from the population.
Reasons why you shouldn't care:
If you don't live there, it isn't your street
F**k traffic cops
everyone has to start somewhere
the entire import/tuner/whatever scene is so small it's not going to make much of a difference either way
you wouldn't have know about it if you didn't get the email
IIRC the last time someone tried this like 3 people showed up(see above)
everyone street drifts, this isn't codrift yes you can admit it.
things will work themselves out
if the locals care enough they'll call the cops themselves
some kid will wreck his 240 and put all his parts on CL

theres nothing wrong with cops. if people didnt have the attitude of just ignoring it not caring and help DO something about it that can in turn affect the way everyone is treated. theres no need to have this douchebag attitude towards them. everyones had their run ins with an asshole cop, get the F**k over it.
that generalization is EXACTLY why they will pull your asses over as fast as any ricer. every cop is a dick and everyone with a big muffler is a street racer. right??

do something about what? traffic duty exists only to extort money from citizens. traffic duties are slowly being replaced by robots. Why the F**k would you help them? would you help that pointy eared faggot T-1000? I'm sure these officers would like to be out solving real problems.

these kids are in it for message board fame, just flame them and they'll go away, there's no need to throw johnny law a bone. If the residents(yes people LIVE there) care enough they'll call the police themselves. If they don't care then they aren't bothering anyone are they? Live and let live.

The minuscule scene out here can't sustain a touge fad, it's been tried before quite a few times. people crash and go back to racing on Federal/Academy. I used to have the same attitude, although I admit it was for selfish reasons(nobody but me mindset) but I took a lot of time off from car S**t and I saw just how tiny and off the radar tuning and ESPECIALLY the drift scene is. It isn't nearly as big as you think it is, I wouldn't worry about it.

in addition, car enthusiasts of all types should probably stick together. Politicians and ecomentalists are after us all, not just one or two groups in particular. So no more of this bullshit domestic/import/classic/modern/FWD/RWD/ricer/drifter/tuner/drift/grip division bullshit. To each his own, we've all got cross-hairs on us.

If some dude goes tearing A** past your house narrowly missing your sister riding her trike back home from uncle (mo)lester's house, sure, call the cops, they deserve it. Otherwise, relax, it's not your problem.jesse

Key word in there is traffic. I am not one of those people who has a problem with authority in every form. But I do know a toolbag of a cop when I see one.

well you see this is a great example of those who cant trust there own driving enough to race downhill, the act like its dumb or stupid
